Scan Tool Counting

The Scan Tool step allows you to verify the correct tooling has been used, and optionally, that it is within calibration, and that there are no tasks due to be performed on the tool.

Basic Scan Tool

Add a Scan Tool step to the sequence, and within the Search String enter text to search for. Tascus searches the Comments field of the Location, Tasks & Tools table to find a match.

Example

In the below example, the step has a Search string of '50ftlb' .

A scan of tools T001 or T002 would Pass this step, as they both contain the comment '50ftlb'

A scan of tools T010 or T011 would Fail, as they contain the comment 60ftlb, which is not an exact match.

Tool Lookup

When the sequence runs, the operator must scan the tool ID, Tascus then performs a lookup to check that tool includes the search keyword. In this example, it will pass any tool that contains '50ftlb' in the comments field of the tool.

Scan Tool Counting

Each time a tool is scanned, a count will increase on the Location, Tasks and Tools record. You can then use this count to trigger a task when the count is exceeded.
